Run for WHEA Office

Have you always wanted to be more active in your union? Have you considered running for an executive position? Have you wondered about the deadline and requirements? To get started, you need to read the descriptions of responsibilities, pick a position you would like to try for, and get 15 signatures supporting your candidacy for the deadline March 1st. You might also write a bio and send it to me so that I might help inform the WHEA members of your qualifications.

Heading this process is a Nomination Committee of fantastic volunteers consisting of: Sheila Levanti, Trudy Davis, Cathy Fagan, Mary Lestini, Rob Loebell, and Shoshana Luzusky. They are responsible for naming a candidate should we not have an interest by March 1st as well as counting the votes on April 2.

DEADLINE MARCH 1 – (15 signatures)

Here are the positions open for election or re-election:  (Responsibilities on attached document)

  • President
  • Executive Vice President
  • Administrative Vice President  (OPEN POSITION)
  • Treasurer

I have attached two important documents for your review.

1. WHEA Duties of Executive Officers

2.WHEA Petition for Office 2019

This form must be completed with 15 union members’ signatures and sent interoffice mail to Michelle Nicklas HALL as soon as possible, but by March 1st 2019 at the latest.

Voting will take place on April 2, 2019. New officers shall assume office on the first day of July.

Members please know that you can email our WHEA President Theresa McKeown theresa_ mckeown@whps.org, Exec VP David Dippolino david_ dippolino@whps.org or June Mann june_ mann@whps.org, Administrative VP David Simon david_ simon@whps.org, or Treasurer Kathy Hardesty katherine_ hardesty@whps.org at your leisure to discuss specific question you may have.

Thank you,

Michelle Nicklas
